Kickoff To The Official First Month of Summer!

Story by Ashley Alt

Happy first weekend of June, Lexington ladies and gents!

Warm weather is finally here to stay, which means…three-day weekends, patio season, grilled everything and sunshine for the next three months.

We hope you had a nice short workweek, as it’s already time to give you the roundup of what to expect on your approaching days off.

Up this weekend? Tim McGraw, West Sixth Brewing Tour, a comedy show and running-for-a-cause event. Check out the details below, plus some bonus to-dos if you don’t feel like being social.

Tim McGraw & Faith Hill Concert
Country music’s favorite couple is going to be right here in our neighborhood Saturday. Performing at Rupp Arena at 7:30 pm, the heartwarming duo will provide concert goers with an entire night of serenading, entertainment and inspiration. Tickets are ridiculously affordable. Grab them here.

Dash for the Donuts 5K & 10K

Veteran’s Park

If you’re looking for some peace and quiet, take a stroll or bike ride at Veteran’s Park. Bring your dog, your family, or your friends and set up a summer picnic. And If you’re really looking for some solitude, get there at sunrise for a solo yoga or meditation session.

There you have it, everyone. Enjoy the weekend and don’t forget your sunblock!
